Gait Analysis Team
NOW offering combined private assessments
The M Bill Physiotherapy Clinics & David Mill
Podiatry Clinics now offer a combined ‘Gait Analysis’
Service, for children and adults.
Having worked as a team for over 10 years both
in the NHS and privately we are now offering the only private joint
Podiatry & Physiotherapy assessments clinic in the Somerset
region.
The clinic works closely with General Practitioners,
Insurance Companies, Rehabilitation agencies and Medical/Surgical
Consultants, treating Self Paying and Insured clients to provide
a service for:
• Individuals concerned that they may be
wearing incorrect footwear for walking/specific sports/casual exercising.
Having such an analysis is likely to drastically reduce injuries
associated with wearing the wrong footwear.
• Parents who notice and are concerned about their child’s
walking ability or pattern.
• Individuals who wish a less time consuming treatment combined
approach to the treatment of chronic discomfort or injuries to the
lower limbs
Treatment plans vary significantly based on the individual needs
of each client. However, the following approaches serve as the foundation
of our treatment program:
• Computerised Force Plate or other diagnostic
testing
• Establishing a functional baseline.
• Assisting and educating each person so that they may better
understand the complexities of the specific problem(s).
• Selecting the appropriate functional orthoses device, if
necessary.
• Refining existing prosthetics, orthotics, and/or shoes for
proper alignment and fit.
Based upon individual assessment findings, physiotherapy
components of the treatment plan may include:
• Balance and coordination exercises
• Flexibility and strengthening exercises
• Gait retraining and rehabilitation work
• Electrotherapy

| Heritage Open Day’s Success 2003 |
|
| Bridgwater again opened its doors to show off its hidden architectural
treasures to residents and visitors. Town Centre Manager Wendy White
said, “ The sun shone and the day was well supported with
over 2,000 registered visitors at local venues. The Charter Hall,
which had a display of the Town Silver, had 183 visitors; St Mary’s
Church had around 250 visitors. Local band “Mozi” added
musical entertainment and raised £128 for BIBIC. Dr Peter
Cattermole provided mediaeval walks around Bridgwater and members
of the Sir William Godolphin Regiment of the Sealed Knott and the
Burnham Town Cryer and his good lady, added colour to the occasion.
I am grateful for all the volunteers and venues involved with this
years event.”
The full programme in Bridgwater included the Masonic Hall, County
Court Chambers, Unitarian Chapel, Magistrates’ Court House,
St John’s Church, St Mary’s Church, Bridgwater Fire
Station, Somerset Brick & Tile Museum, The Charter Hall, Twentieth
Century Wave Machine at Sedgemoor Splash, The Mediaeval Old Vicarage
Hotel, 18th Century Kelting Room at Bridgwater Arts Centre, The
Engine Room Media Centre and Blake Museum.
Bridgwater joined 23,000 volunteers across England who work behind
the scenes to organise Heritage Open Days locally.
